Whenever I install ez drummer, it does not go into the default installation folder "C:\Program Files\VstPlugins" do i have to create it, or is ez drummer so supposed to? This is increadibly stressful, I know this is an old blog, but there are some answers from late 2010, so if anyone, or the blog write could help, please, reply here (i visit daily) or email me at djentilluminati@london.com

sounds like a couple of you need to learn how to use softsynths in sonar. I suggest looking up that section of the sonar manual.

Also if I remember correctly I think it's only the more recent versions of sonar that natively support vst - the older ones I think only supported dxi? I could be wrong.

Hi

I have tried 10 times to make EZDrummer appear in Sonar 5 and have come to the conclusion it simply does not work in S5...I have loaded many other virtuals/synths/etc (NI Guitar Rig, B-4). The VST config application shows it being there but it is not available in soft synth..

Thanks

No, EZ Drummer is not a standalone program - you need a host program to use it. Do you have Sonar?

[...] First, create a new, empty project. Name it “EZ Drummer Template” or something like that. If there are any audio or MIDI tracks in the project, delete them. Next, insert EZ Drummer into your project as a soft synth. (If you can’t find EZDrummer in your Soft Synths, see the tutorial on How to open EZDrummer in Sonar). [...]
