EZDrummer Expansion Packs
I got this email from Toontrack:
At long last, demos for all three of the upcoming EZX expansionpacks have been posted. Check them out in the demos section of www.ezdrummer.com. The EZX:s will be delivered to our distributors in the last week of october and we´d like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their patience in regards to the slight delay in delivery.
There are three expansion packs (EZXs) coming out: Latin Percussion, Drumkit from Hell, and Vintage Rock. Get the details and listen to the demos.
Seeing as how each EZX is going to be about $80 (street price), I’m not going to run out and buy all three. I’d really like to have the Vintage Rock kit for the brushes, and the Latin Percussion kit for the shaker – but that’s a little steep for things I’m not going to use on every song. Even so, it’s nice to see Toontrack deliver on its promise of additional kits for EZDrummer.

Cakewalk released a VST Adapter Patch on 2006-09-29. This upgrades the VST Adapter to version 4.5.3.157. Sonar 6 users don’t need it, since Sonar 6 doesn’t use the adapter.
No comments“Free” Sonar 6 Upgrade
In August, Cakewalk was running a deal where if you bought or upgraded to Sonar 5, you would get a free upgrade to Sonar 6 when it came out. It’s out now, but I haven’t received my upgrade yet. I did some searching through the Cakewalk forums for information, and found this thread. Some people claim to have already received theirs, and it took no action on their part. I guess I’ll continue to be patient.
